Frequently Asked Questions

Is internet required?

No. WiBell operates standalone without internet. WiFi is optional for a single bell โ€” recommended for the best long-term time accuracy โ€” and required only when running multiple bells from a Controller.

Can I set different schedules for different days?

Yes. Unique schedules for every day of the week โ€” different bell times for Monday vs Friday, weekday vs weekend, or any combination.

What happens during a power outage?

The bell requires power to ring and cannot operate during an outage. The RTC backup battery maintains accurate time. When power returns, schedules resume at the correct time automatically.

What if I need bells in multiple buildings?

Add a WiBell Controller to manage up to 100 bells from one dashboard. Organize into groups with independent schedules. View multi-bell deployment examples

How loud is it?

85 dB at 10 feet โ€” covers approximately 6,000โ€“8,000 sq ft, or about 5 classrooms that share a hallway. Add units for larger areas.

Is there a monthly fee?

No. One-time purchase. No subscription, no cloud service, no hidden fees.

Common questions

Do I need WiFi to use WiBell?

No. The bell creates its own WiFi hotspot. You connect from your phone or laptop to set the schedule.

Do I have to keep my phone or computer connected to the bell?

No. Your phone or computer is only used once, during setup, to set the schedule and the time. After that you disconnect โ€” the bell stores the schedule in its own memory and rings on its own built-in clock. Leave the building or turn your phone off, and it keeps ringing on schedule. All it needs is power.

Is there a subscription?

No. One-time purchase, you own the hardware, no recurring fees.

How long is setup?

About 5 minutes. No electrician, no IT department, no special tools.

How loud is it?

85 dB at 10 feet. One bell covers ~8,000 sq ft. Larger spaces use multiple bells with one Controller.

What about power outages?

Built-in RTC battery keeps the clock running. The bell resumes the schedule when power returns.

Can I control multiple bells?

Yes โ€” up to 100 bells from one Controller, optionally split into zone groups with different schedules.

What's the warranty and return policy?

1-year limited hardware warranty, 30-day money-back returns with no restocking fee, US-based support.

Do you accept purchase orders (POs)?

Yes. We work with schools, districts, municipalities, and businesses โ€” W-9 and tax-exempt handling available. Request a quote and we'll send an itemized quote within one business day.
