Is it loud enough for a warehouse?

85 dB at 10 feet covers up to 8,000 sq ft in moderate-noise environments. For high-noise manufacturing floors or very large spaces, deploy additional WiBell units — each operates independently or under centralized control.

Do I need internet or IT support?

No internet needed to run WiBell — and for a single bell, no network at all: it creates its own 2.4 GHz WiFi hotspot and you connect directly from your phone. A multi-zone system with a Controller does join your facility's existing 2.4 GHz WiFi (5 GHz is not supported), but that is joining a network, not configuring one — no cables, no switch ports, no static IPs, no firewall changes, and still no internet. The only time internet is ever used is if you choose to install an optional firmware update — updates are manual, and nothing installs itself. Your maintenance team handles the entire installation.

Different schedules for weekdays vs weekends?

Yes. Independent schedules for every day of the week. Different break times Monday through Friday, reduced Saturday schedule, none on Sunday — or any combination your facility requires. The schedule tabs also include alternate days for patterns that don't repeat weekly — inventory days, maintenance shutdowns, holiday-eve early release. Build the alternate schedule once and switch to it on the day you run it; with a WiBell Controller, one tap runs an alternate schedule for just that day, per group, and it turns itself off automatically at the end of the day.

Multiple buildings or zones?

Can I ring bells manually?

Yes. The control panel has a Ring Bell Now button for instant activation. With the Controller, you can ring all bells, a specific group, or a single device with one tap. There is also a "Ring later" option: pick a date and time — today or any future day — and the bell rings once at that moment. No schedule changes, and you can cancel it before it rings.

Common questions

Do I need WiFi to use WiBell?

No. The bell creates its own WiFi hotspot that you connect to during setup to set the schedule — no building network and no internet needed. Connecting the bell to your building WiFi afterward is optional for a single bell (it keeps the clock set automatically) and required only when you run multiple bells from a Controller. WiBell is 2.4 GHz only — 5 GHz networks are not supported.

Will WiBell work on my 5 GHz WiFi?

No. WiBell is 2.4 GHz only — a 5 GHz network will not appear in the setup list at all. This is the one thing worth checking before you order. Most routers broadcast both bands, so make sure the 2.4 GHz band is switched on. A single bell needs no building network at all (setup runs on the bell's own 2.4 GHz hotspot), but running several bells from a Controller does need 2.4 GHz on your building WiFi.

Do I have to keep my phone or computer connected to the bell?

No. Your phone or computer is only used once, during setup, to set the schedule and the time. After that you disconnect — the bell stores the schedule in its own memory and rings on its own built-in clock. Leave the building or turn your phone off, and it keeps ringing on schedule. A single bell needs nothing but power from then on; with a Controller, the bells stay on your 2.4 GHz WiFi so the Controller can push schedule changes — but they keep ringing their saved schedule even if the network drops.

Is there a subscription?

No. One-time purchase, you own the hardware, no recurring fees.

How long is setup?

About 5 minutes. No electrician, no IT department, no special tools.

Can it handle late starts and assembly days?

Yes. Alongside the normal weekly tabs there are alternate day tabs — build your late-start or assembly-day schedule once, then run it on the day you need it. With a Controller, only the group you pick switches over, and the alternate schedule turns itself off automatically at day's end.

What's the range? Can bells be in a different building?

There's no direct radio link — the Controller and every bell join your local 2.4 GHz WiFi network, so the range is your WiFi coverage: anywhere your WiFi reaches, a bell can go. Bells in a separate building work from the same Controller as long as that building is on the same network; a building with its own separate network needs a WiFi extension or its own Controller. No internet required either way.
